While Battery Storage is our foundational focus, solar and fuel cell technologies are both part of our Energy Engineering education outlook. They are both used to generate electricity, but they work in different ways and can be used together to create a more efficient energy system:
- Solar Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity through photovoltaic (PV) panels or mirrors. The efficiency of solar panels varies based on the type of panel, the amount of sunlight, and the temperature.
- Fuel cel lA fuel cell is an electrochemical cell that converts chemical energy into electricity. Fuel cells can operate at theoretical efficiencies of over 90%, but practical efficiencies are usually between 30–55%.
- Clean Fuel Cells represent a breakthrough in energy technology, providing a sustainable and efficient solution for power generation. Designed to convert chemical energy directly into electricity, these cells utilize hydrogen, bio, or natural gas, producing only water and heat as by-products. This means our partners can dramatically reduce their carbon footprint while enjoying a reliable energy source. By investing in clean fuel cells, institutions not only educate students on environmental sustainability but also take proactive steps towards partnership in energy stability/ security, and financial security
