Served six full terms in the legislature where he served as Senior Chair of the prestigious House Appropriations committee since his appointment to the post in 2019. Before that he served as Senior Chair of the Finance Committee from 2015-2018 giving him a unique perspective as one of the few legislators to work on both the taxation and expenditure sides of state budgeting.

Saine made his mark in Raleigh by focusing on issues surrounding technology, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.
